Tickets! We have your Tickets!

Vol. 1 Issue 3

Remember when Charlie found the Golden ticket in his candy bar? How excited he was, how he marveled that HE had actually won a ticket? That's kind of how I feel about knowing I have 6 days of tickets to Disney Parks! The possiblilty for fun is endless here!

Our tickets are set like this : 1 ticket, per park, per day. So for example if we go to Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, than we cannot switch to another park that day. We can leave that park and come back, but we cannot go to another park. Why? Because believe it or not it will take a whole day to get through Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Half a day for Animal Kingdom and almost a full day at Hollywood Studios!

Unlike most other theme parks, because let's face it: Disney isn't like other theme parks, you don't actually get a "paper" ticket. Your ticket information is saved on a "Disney Debit Card". each day we use the card to get into the park, eat, and get back in your room. So don't lose that card!

I have some idea of a schedule for us, but until I know extra magic hours ( this is a time, usually and hour before or two hours after a park opens or closes, strictly for Disney Resort guests) for each park, I can't confirm anything.

Hope you are all enjoying this blog. See you next time.

The Next Step....Complete!

Vol. 1 - Issue 2

Hey everyone! That's right. Our rooms are booked, our park tickets ordered and our dining plan set! Looks like we are off to a wonderful start. What's the rush you ask? Did you know that there are only : 288 days left until vacation? Woohoo!

I thought in this post I would give you a little more information on our "residence" for that week we spend in "The most Magical Place in the World".

We are booked to spend our week at the All Star Movie Resort, in the Toy Story section. This will thrill Randall as it is, at current, his favorite Disney movie. In this resort which is in the Animal Kingdom section of the Walt Disney World property, you will find movies are supersized! Themes accompany each building, Toy Story,Herbie,Fantasia,101 Dalmation, and The Mighty Ducks. The Buzz Lighteyear Statue is over 47 feet tall!

The resort (ASMR - All Star Movie Resort), has a food court, an arcade, 2 pools, a laundry facility, a open air bar, and a play ground!

I can't wait! I am so excited to see everyone's face!

Tomorrow, I will post about our tickets, and dining plan. I am really looking forward to all the fun we are going to have. Please keep checking back on the blog for further updates and helpful tips that I have learned!

Love you all!

Betsy

Welcome to The Disney Insider!

So I thought it would be nice to have a blog about our upcoming (November 2011) trip to Disney World. This is a second time around trip, but my kids, Helen, (and I) are just as excited. This time though Daddy won't be joining us. Randall says once in 5 years is enough. when the kids are both 10 and up then he'll reconsider! That's ok because joing us on our adventure this time is my parents, John and Peg, and our dear friends from Atlanta, Mac and Peg! Even my big brother John and family are going to join us for a couple of days! (LOOK OUT DISNEY WORLD)
I so love booking and making plans, I really should have been a travel agent! I love making the itineraries and it's killing me that I can't see the park hours for November 2011, until June 2011! I hope I can make it that long!
I already have some places in mind where we can eat and what we can see, and the daily plan is forming in my mind as we speak!
Anyway, I hope to post on the blog anytime something happens that deals with Disney and the trip in general! Don't worry I won't give specifics to bore you. I am posting a couple of pictures of places around Disney just to wet your appetite and hopefully you'll follow us on this crazy adventure!
